Spiegelungen V: … à travers …

On October 28 at 8 pm, the Schallfeld Ensemble opens its autumn season with Spiegelungen V “…à travers…” – appearing for the first time as a guest at TiB – Theater im Bahnhof, Graz. At the center of the program is the world premiere of Maurizio Azzan ‘s (StAir 2026) Wasteland – fragile, almost a presence, for six spatially distributed instruments and electronics. This is followed by three acoustic works for mixed quartet: Klein Fountain by Reuben Jelleyman (StAir 2026) , musica spolia by Katherine Balch, and Tristan Murail’s Feuilles à travers les cloches – a reversal of Debussy’s famous Prélude. An evening of highly varied music that nonetheless vividly reflects and evokes different conceptions of landscape and nature.
