Das Ensemble Schallfeld widmet den ersten Abend des Konzertzyklus 2022 den offenen Fragen und ungelösten Problemen, dem Kaputten und Unfertigen, das uns alle trotz guter Vorsätze zum Jahresbeginn verfolgt. In welchem Zustand sind wir jetzt, was bleibt von der letzen zwei Jahren Pandemie? Alles kaputt oder alles neu? In den musikalischen Beiträgen dieses Konzertabends hören, spüren und schauen wir hinein in Ruinen, wir sehen leere Stühle, Monoliten und Fragmente, die oft an die Grenzen der Wahrnehmbarkeit rühren oder deren Zerbrechlichkeit neue Formen der Aufmerksamkeit von uns verlangt. Kein Abend zum Aufatmen und Ausruhen, aber vielleicht eine Art Neubeginn.
Es erklingt Musik von Patricia Alessandrini, Cathy van Eck, Andrés Gutiérrez, Hannes Kerschbaumer, Dmitri Kourliandski und Salvatore Sciarrino.

The last week has seen unprecedented developments of events in Ukraine. We are shocked and express our deepest solidarity with the people suffering by the war as well as with our colleagues and friends who are affected by the events. Schallfeld consists of people from several continents and we believe that peaceful international collaboration is the foundation for mutual growth and understanding.
In the light of what happens right now, we want to dedicate this music to the support of people suffering in Ukraine. The entry is free, but we ask for your donations which will be all given for directly supporting the humanitarian actions of ORF – Nachbar in Not.
Contemporary music always is intimately connected to social and political movements. Performing music from composers all over the world for us means to set a sign for peace. We hope that doing and enjoying music together helps to build bridges for a better future.
