On 24 May, Schallfeld will perform SKIN, the third concert of its 2025 KORPUS season.
Under the title SKIN, things get musically intimate as we present music that literally gets under your skin in a poetic, metaphorical and sensual way. In addition to two world premieres by Luca Guidarini (Styrian Artist in Residence 2025) and Andrés Gutiérrez Martínez (Grain, 2017 – new version 2025), which delve into organic worlds of sound, we dedicate ourselves to the magnum opus ‘Skin’ by the renowned British composer Rebecca Saunders (Ernst von Siemens Music Prize 2019). Ensemble Schallfeld will be accompanied by soprano Juliet Fraser, for whom this work was composed.
