Aber was wäre\, wenn wir unseren eigenen inneren Strom an Gefühlen\, Reaktionen\, Kommentaren „live“ mit anderen Positionen\, vielleicht sogar mit denen des Komponisten konfrontieren könnten? \nDas Ensemble Schallfeld schafft einen installativen Wahrnehmungsraum\, der Muster des Musikhörens und Konzertverhaltens hinterfragt und zum Neu-Entdecken von Neuer Musik einlädt. Anhand des Werkes „Periodes“ von Gerard Grisey\, das im Laufe der Performance aus mehreren klanglichen\, räumlichen\, medialen und inhaltlichen „Perspektiven“ durchmessen wird\, erfahren die Beteiligten unterschiedliche Hörhaltungen. DESCRIPTION:[:de]Als Ensemble in Residency\, einem Programm des EU-Netzwerkes Ulysses\, ist Ensemble Schallfeld bei impuls 2017 in vielfacher Weise aktiv: Zum einen arbeitet es mit Tutoren der impuls Akademie\, so etwa mit Agostino Di Scipio\, zum anderen tritt es\, angeregt durch einen Call for Scores\, mit den Jungkomponisten der Akademie in regen Austausch und wird auch einige ihrer teils speziell für das Ensemble geschriebenen Werke zur (Ur-)Aufführung bringen\, andere wieder im Rahmen von Leseproben studieren.\nSchallfeld formierte sich 2013 aus ehemaligen Studierenden des Klangforum Wien und hat sich seitdem rasch als feste Größe in der zeitgenössischen Musikszene Österreichs etabliert. Die jungen MusikerInnen stammen aus fünf verschiedenen Ländern und bringen ihren jeweiligen kulturellen\, professionellen und musikalischen Hintergrund in die gemeinsame Arbeit mit ein. Das Ensemble agiert als freies Solistenkollektiv\, das in verschiedenen Formationen auftritt und enge Zusammenarbeit mit Komponisten pflegt\, so u.a. Es erwartet Sie eine multimediales Raumerlebnis\, in dem die Beziehung zwischen akustischen Instrumenten und Elektronischem veränderlich bleibt. Der Streifzug führt von der Tradition der akusmatischen Tonbandmusik\, repräsentiert durch Luciano Berios “Omaggio a Joyce”\, bis hin zu neueren\, performativen Formaten (in Cathy van Ecks “wings”) und “instrumental-akusmatischen” Werken (Lorenzo Troianis “dalla voce.instabile”)\, eingerahmt von einer Performance von Alvin Luciers ikonischem “I am sitting in a room”. \n  \nProgramm:\nAlvin Lucier: I’m sitting in a room (solo electronics/performance)\nLorenzo Troaini: Dalla voce. In Soirée Acousmatique (Acousmatic evening)\, Schallfeld Ensemble presents an itinerary concert built upon the spaces of the Grazer Kunstverein. A site specific multimedia experience in which the relationship between acoustic instruments and the electronic is constantly exchanging\, ranging from the acousmatic tradition (Berio’s Thema Omaggio a Joyce) to a more performative experimental approach (van Eck’s Wings)\, exploring the acoustic of the spaces of the Gallery\, through the realization of a live version of Lucier’s I’m sitting in a room\, and conceiving acoustic instruments as acousmatic sound sources. \n  \nProgram:\nAlvin Lucier: I’m sitting in a room (solo electronics/performance)\nLorenzo Troaini: Dalla voce. Auch 2016 werden Text-Splitter Kompositionen anstoßen\, in der Umsetzung werden die Impuls-Texte jedoch von einer Schauspielerin/einem Schauspieler gelesen\, um die Praxis der Mehrstufigkeit im Bereich der Entstehung zeitgenössischer Kammermusik literarisch zu spiegeln. \nMediale Verschränkungen können verschiedene Ziele haben und unterschiedliche Qualitäten ausbilden\, im Projekt (Prozess) Text im Klang liegt der Fokus auf dem Impuls. Olga Flor\, Valerie Fritsch\, Thomas Stangl und Andreas Unterweger werden eingeladen Texte zur Verfügung zu stellen\, die die Kompositionsprozesse von Andres Gutierrez\, Mauro Hertig\, Alexander Kaiser und Marina Poleukhina initialzünden werden. Nicht Vertonungen im klassischen Sinn sind intendiert\, keine Übersetzungen mit Stimme oder Sprecher\, keine klanglichen Repräsentationen der Texte\, gefragt sind die Texte als Movens in ihren zum Beispiel rhythmischen und syntaktischen Qualitäten\, in ihren klangsprachlichen Färbungen\, als semantische Widerlager. Again in 2016\, text fragments initiate compositions\, when realised\, the impulse-texts are read by an actor\, to reflect the multi-levelled genesis of contemporary chamber music through literature. \nMedial interlacing can cultivate diverse aims and different qualities\, within the project (process) Text im Klang the focus lies on the impulse. Olga Flor\, Valerie Fritsch\, Thomas Stangl and Andreas Unterweger are invited to provide texts\, which will initiate the compositional processes of Andres Gutierrez\, Mauro Hertig\, Alexander Kaiser and Marina Poleukhina. The intention of the project is not a classical setting such as words to music\, nor translations with voices\, nor tonal representations of the texts\, but rather texts functioning as movens with their for example rhythmic and syntactic qualities\, within their linguistic sound timbre\, as semantic abutment.
