Zinajda Kodrič firstly graduated at the Conservatorio di Musica “Giuseppe Tartini” inTriest-Italy, her home city, with the prof. Luisa Sello in 2007. She moved then to Graz in Austria and graduated with honors her first Master of Arts at the University of Music and Performing Arts in the class of Nils-Thilo Krämer. During these years she used to play in orchestras as the Austrian youth orchestra and the Opera orchestra of Cagliari-Italy, but soon she started to love playing contemporary music and received a proper education in this direction by the members of the ensemble Klangforum Wien within the Master PPCM-Practice Performance in Contemporary Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz-Austria. She graduated with highest honors 2011 with the tutoring of the flutists Vera Fischer and Eva Furrer. Her performance at the final exam made her win the prize as the best graduate at the University of Music in Graz and the prize as one of the best 50 graduates of all the Austrian Universities of that year. From then on she substitutes with the Klangforum Wien and she plays in the ensemble Zeitfluss from Graz. In summer 2013 she debuted as soloist with the London Contemporary Orchestra and since then she works as their member. She shares her love for contemporary music with colleagues from the newly founded ensemble ClapTON in London. They aim to present the works of original composers who are renowned in Continental Europe, but almost completely unknown to most UK audiences. She participated in many specific contemporary music courses: Darmstadt, Impuls-Graz, Acanthes-Metz and mastered her knowledge of the contemporary techniques with Mario Caroli. Since 2012 she is broadcasting at the Italian National Radio-RAI in Trieste as reviewer and essayist. www.zinajdakodric.com
