Fundraising campaign
For 2026, Schallfeld is continuing its annual fundraising campaign for supporters of our ensemble and contemporary art. Following last year’s collaboration with Studio ASYNCHROME, we are thrilled to announce that for 2026 we have the privilege of working with Austrian artist Markus Wilfling, who has created an original art object — WAHTUVIXOYMYOXIVUTHAW — inspired by the theme of our 2026 Season: “Spiegelungen”. For donations of €200 or more, our supporters will receive one of only 30 numbered copies of this unique handmade object (27,5x10x10 cm; Galvanised iron, mirror, stainless steel, adhesive lettering) by Wilfling — exclusively available through this campaign — as well as a free pass to all six concerts of our 2026 Season.
The mirror’s ability to duplicate fragments of the world (and beyond) and the symmetry of the selected letters are encapsulated in the vessel-object WAHTUVIXOYMYOXIVUTHAW. The text fragment, randomly composed of individual legible syllables and which also explores the idea of how languages might be conceived, can be read fluidly through the mirrored surface, thereby outwitting the illusionistic materiality of the reflection.

The donations for Schallfeld Ensemble are tax deductible in Austria
